Our caregivers have a variety of skill sets, all with extensive experience in senior care or equivalent qualifications in caregiving experience.
Caregiver training is rigorous and covers various aspects of senior care, including medical conditions, emergencies, and diagnoses like Alzheimer’s and dementia. They can also provide 24/7 hospice care at home. Hands-on field training is provided by our care management team.
We know how important it is for you and your loved one to feel comfortable with your 24/7 home care agency. We prioritize continuity of care by fostering long-term relationships between caregivers and clients. Our goal is to ensure seamless communication and handover between shifts, providing consistency and peace of mind for you and your loved one, built on a foundation of reliability and trustworthiness.
While we always aim for consistency, our on-call staff can arrange qualified and familiar replacements as needed to minimize disruptions and ensure continued care.
When the working relationship begins, Errand Runners Unlimited Home Care will conduct a comprehensive assessment interview with you and your family to create a personalized care plan for the client. This interview will gather detailed information regarding:
- Medical history: chronic conditions, recent hospitalizations, surgeries, and medication
- Functional abilities: mobility, bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and transferring
- Cognitive function, memory, and mental health
- Nutritional needs, dietary restrictions, and meal preferences
- Social support system: family members, friends, and other caregivers
- Safety concerns, fall risks, and environmental factors in the home
- Personal preferences, hobbies, interests, and cultural/religious considerations
Care plans are regularly reviewed and adjusted as needed to accommodate changes in abilities, new diagnoses, or evolving preferences, ensuring continued support and satisfaction for our clients while upholding our commitment to reliability and integrity.
Errand Runners Unlimited prioritizes quality care through comprehensive supervision with regular check-ins, visits, and remote monitoring. Our supervisors maintain open communication with clients and there is are robust quality assurance and caregiver feedback programs in place. If any concerns arise, immediate action can be taken. We truly value your feedback and we have a 24/7 hotline in place for caregivers and clients to report any issues.
There are strict procedures in place to handle medical emergencies. Our caregivers are trained in first aid and emergency response protocols, and they are equipped to both remain calm and take action in stressful situations. Each client will have an emergency care plan customized to fit their specific needs. Staff are available around the clock, ready to respond and coordinate with emergency services as needed to prioritize the safety of the client.
Regular updates can be provided via phone call, email, or in-person meetings as preferred. Family members can also communicate with care management as needed through our dedicated communication channels.
We provide transparent, up-front pricing and can discuss payment options with you based on your unique circumstances. Clients and loved ones would need to work with the loved one’s insurance carrier directly to learn if there are home care-related benefits.
Costs can fluctuate depending on the preferred care schedule. 24/7 home care is generally broken down into two different schedules:
- 3×8 hour shift: most cost-effective
- 2×12 hour shift: designed to minimize disruptions and limit the number of caregivers coming in
We do not have different rates for different levels of care needed – all clients pay the same rates.
